Spontaneous Five Animals Shamanic Qigong
Tuesdays 8.30pm to 10pm at Neighbourhuud Studio, Hove, East Sussex, UK.
Finally, after many years training, I have fulfilled my masters wish for me to share this wonderful art…
Spontaneous Five Animals Shamanic Dance (Qigong) is the peak experience of Qigong practice. One of my esteemed Qigong Masters says that: “Continued practice will lead to the development of gifted abilities. None of the tens of thousands of Qi Gong practices can cure illness, maintain good health and develop gifted abilities through gradual advancing through a single exercise like Spontaneous 5 Animals Dance…”
It is truly a masterful art of healing and deep cleansing/energising exercise with a very clear and long lineage.
The modern interpretation of this effective healing modality is derived from one of China’s most famous Daoist Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners, Huo Tuo, circa 150 AD. Huo Tuo is also attributed to contributing to the birth of modern medicine by developing anaesthetic, surgical procedures and was renowned for healing many including the Emperor himself.
What Happens in a Spontaneous Five Animals Shamanic Qi Gong Session?
We prepare the body and mind by practicing releasing and relaxing qigong moves and then deepen our awareness to be present in a state of calm “Wuji” a rooted, open and clear state of being. This is a relaxed state where one is emitting more alfa and theta brainwave patterns…
The lead practitioner will then channel “Qi” or life force from Heaven & Earth into a meridian point. The extra healing Qi will go to the area that requires healing first.
The Qi will help most students to move spontaneously in the way they they’re body needs to heal. Some students feel more like lying down and completely resting; this is also a healing phase. This is what makes the exercise so beneficial – it’s a self-healing modality, just allowing the body to do what it needs to do to release and re-energise effectively.
When the session is nearing completion, we “close down” meaning we centre our “Qi”. Then we do self-massage and acupressure on oneself, guided by the practitioner. The closing down technique activates our “Guardian Qi”, the Qi that protects us from the outside world, closes any meridians that have opened and helps us to detox and re-energise in a more grounded way. This helps us go out into the world after a deep healing and re-energising session…
An Excellent All-Round SELF-HEALING Modality!
The beauty of Spontaneous five Animals Qi Gong is that there is no conscious thought involved, the Qi goes to the area that needs healing first and then often other areas and meridians are triggered for healing.
The Five Animals part is how one will move according to which main organ or paired organ requires healing…Some may experience more than five animals, but essentially, we move very similarly to these main 5 animals of this spontaneous qi gong set:
Tiger
Deer
Bear
Crane
Monkey
Effective Guidance & Space Holding
The session is led and facilitated by an experienced practitioner, Caspar, who first experienced Spontaneous Five Animals Qigong in 1997. Since then, Caspar has been teaching meditation and qigong helping hundreds of people over the years throughout the UK and abroad.
It is important to practice these exercises only under the guidance of a qualified practitioner, in person. Only practice this highly effective and empowering Qigong solo when you have mastered the full cycle of the experience and understand the principals involved.
Do get in touch if you would like more information about these exercises or if you would like to come along for a drop-in or four-session course.
